AWS Finance seeks a world class Sr. Financial Analyst to be a key member of its team. This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the AWS Storage business.
The successful candidate will provide strong finance support and controllership for S3s costs implement and drive the core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans identifying and quantifying financial/operational Risks and Opportunities to the business and driving adhoc business projects.
This role requires a selfstarter with a strong financial modeling background problem solving skills a keen attention to detail ability to work in a fastpaced environment with ambiguous situations and solid skills in project management.
Key job responsibilities
Driving financial planning & analysis; building complex financial models and analytical tools to support review of S3s costs and capacity
Developing short and long range financial / operational forecasts of S3s infrastructure footprint
Develop track and report relevant KPIs to shed financial and operational insights into the CapEx and OpEx drivers and influence business decisions using data and communication skills
Driving ad hoc financial analyses and projects
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 3 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
3 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
