Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Remote Budget Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the development monitoring and analysis of the organizations budgets. You will work closely with various departments to gather financial data prepare budget reports identify variances and provide insightful analysis to support informed decisionmaking. This is a fully remote position requiring a proactive detailoriented and communicative individual with a strong understanding of budgeting principles and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Budget Preparation and Support: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts by collaborating with department heads to gather financial information and input budget data accurately.
Budget Monitoring and Control: Monitor budget performance against actual results on a regular basis analyze variances and provide explanations for deviations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate budget reports financial summaries and variance analyses for management review.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze financial data to identify trends opportunities for improvement and potential risks.
Forecasting and Projections: Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections based on historical data current trends and anticipated future activities.
Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with department managers to review budget performance understand their financial needs and provide budgetary guidance.
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support budget planning forecasting and scenario analysis.
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to budgeting processes and reporting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed documentation of budget assumptions methodologies and reporting processes.
Adhoc Analysis: Conduct adhoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies and procedures.
Staying Current: Keep abreast of best practices in budgeting financial analysis and relevant healthcare industry trends.
Qualifications:
Work Permit/Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit allowing employment in the United States.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration Economics or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 24 years of experience in a budget analyst role or similar financial analysis position. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Budgeting Principles: Strong understanding of budgeting methodologies forecasting techniques and financial analysis principles.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify key insights.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas pivot tables data analysis tools). Experience with financial planning software or ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle) is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and nonfinancial audiences.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Independence and Initiative: Ability to work independently take initiative and manage responsibilities effectively in a remote setting.
Discretion and Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Remote Work Capabilities: Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup suitable for remote work.
