Job Details:

The Office of University Advancement is seeking applications for an Advancement Operations Support Specialist to join the Advancement Services team. In this role you will support the fundraising operations of the university. The position is expected to provide a high level of customer service and accuracy as well as work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. If you have experience with database entry excel spreadsheets and enjoy repetitive clerical tasks this may be the opportunity for you!


Responsibilities:

The Advancement Operations Support Specialist under direct supervision will provide administrative assistance within Advancement Services University Advancement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Operation of the Universitys main switchboard

  • Processing acknowledging and receipting gifts to the University

  • Maintaining the accuracy of alumni and donor records within the database

  • Data integrity projects

  • Scanning and digital archiving

  • Providing administrative support to the Director of Advancement Services as needed

Qualifications:

A high school diploma/GED and two years of administrative support experience to include database entry/management are required. Candidates with higher education advancement/development and/or fundraising administrative support experience are highly desirable.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of database/CRM system; accurate entry and understanding of the interrelationships of data.

  • Ability to use reporting functionality and interpret reports accurately.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel with excellent proficiency.

  • Ability to prioritize and balance day to day work load to meet expected gift processing efficiency metrics and project/task deadlines as assigned.

  • Exceptional communication (written/verbal) and organizational skills. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Demonstrated poise tact and diplomacy.

  • Office 365 Applications (Tasks Teams etc.
