Job Title: Technical Support Analyst 3 (768094)
Location: 6951 Vint Hill Parkway Warrenton VA 20187 (100% On-Site)
Client: State of Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS)
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Important Notes:

  • Candidate must have hands-on experience with McAfee Anti-Virus Software Adobe Acrobat and other commercial business software products. (This must be clearly detailed in the resume mentioning how and when these were used.)
  • Candidate must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation (for occasional travel as per project requirements).
  • Candidate must be comfortable with 100% on-site work from day one.
  • Travel may be required to other DVS regional offices (agency will reimburse travel expenses such as mileage/lodging).

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop/Technical Support Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Services (DVS) at the Puller Veterans Care Center (PVCC) in Warrenton VA. This facility will house around 200 IT devices including desktops laptops mobile devices printers and telephony systems. The candidate will provide technical support IT administration and integration services to ensure smooth operations across multiple sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Install configure and maintain PC desktops laptops and peripheral devices (printers scanners etc.).
  • Support and troubleshoot Android and Apple mobile devices.
  • Administer and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments including network protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP).
  • Install configure and manage routers switches and wireless access points.
  • Provide end-user support for email applications (Google Suite PST files calendars distribution lists).
  • Support IT inventory control ticketing systems and reporting.
  • Configure and troubleshoot analog and digital phone systems.
  • Resolve hardware software and network issues promptly.
  • Identify and report IT security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Document system changes create and update procedures and training materials.
  • Collaborate with IT vendors and internal teams to provide top-notch technical support.
  • Provide IT support for presentations including equipment setup and software configuration.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks such as standing bending and climbing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in technical/desktop support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS Microsoft O365 Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
  • Hands-on experience with McAfee Anti-Virus Software and Adobe Acrobat (must be highlighted on resume).
  • Basic knowledge of IT security principles.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and documentation processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting mobile devices routers switches and wireless networks.
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities work independently and solve problems efficiently.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (travel up to 20% for initial site setup).
