Project Scope: The Office of Technology Services (OTS) was established as a means of recognizing cost savings through the consolidation of State IT assets and resources. The creation of OTS consolidated a wide variety of existing hardware platforms operating systems database management systems networks third party software and custom applications. OTS leads the States technology procurement process to standardize technology over the entire organization seek efficiencies of operations maintenance and scalability of new products introduced to the OTS suite of services which can eventually be offered to all in-scope agencies
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day project management support.
- Creation of project documentation: status reports project schedules and plans meeting
- minutes track risks and issues other documentation as needed.
- Activity and resource planning.
- Analyze project risks & issues and identify ways to mitigate them.
- Process monitoring.
- Monitor project deliverables.
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis.
- Document specifications and requirements tracking.
- Provide day-to-day support for on-going processes.
- Provide on-going evaluation and improvements for processes; work in needed areas to provide support services for agencys workload demands.
Mandatory Skills:
- 10 years managing IT projects.
- 10 years experience working with enterprise content management and enterprise capture solutions
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with DPS policies processes and workflows.
- Experience managing projects for or on behalf of the State of Louisiana.
- Applicant should have prior experience with large-scale electronic document management
- systems and workflows.
- 2 years experience administering and managing large projects.
- Experience with rate setting cost allocation and invoicing.
- Experience determining and establishing line of service costs.
- Experience managing task orders.
- General understanding and experience with electronic document management systems and workflows.
