Job Description
Although Hajoca is a large company we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations called Profit Centers (PCs) is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typicalProfit Centeris the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse counter sales office and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business underunique trade namesand offer a customized business approach honoring whats special about each local marketplace.
Buttes Pipe and Supplyis one of those trade names and is looking for a Sales & Service Representative Wholesale Plumbing at their Chico CA location.
Pay for Sales & Service Representative Wholesale Plumbing is between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour at this location.
Position is eligible for Profit Sharing

About the Role:
You will:
- Meet or exceed the sales targets established by your manager.
- Work with your Profit Center Manager to establish revenue and margin targets.
- Accurately process Sales Orders and Bids generated through telephone and in person sales transactions.
- Assist customers who pick up their order at our Profit Center.
- Find innovative ways to grow sales with existing customers and become their trusted advisor.
- Generate sales leads that develop into new customers.
- Identify opportunities for valueadded services and articulate our solutions.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems address pricing deductions and material returns timely and in accordance with Company policy and procedure follow up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Support Sales activities and all Profit Center activities as part of our Profit Center team.
- Communicateto the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager any changes in a customers business that might cause a credit risk.
- Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
- High levels of autonomy.
- Provide warehouse and delivery support.
- Engage with trade customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships in the plumbing and building materials sector.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in trade sales (e.g. plumbing building materials HVAC or similar industries)
- Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center
- Strong customer service and relationshipbuilding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bring a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problemsolving
Be able to drive a vehicle over 10000 lbs. As a nonCDL driver you must:
Be at least 21 years old
Possess a proper and valid drivers license
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function.
Our ideal candidate will also:
Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook Word Excel) to communicate via email to maintain weekly sales plans call reports customer contact files and to analyze customer data.
- Possess outstanding customer service telephone/verbal communication and generous listening skills.
Demonstrate product knowledge to answer customer questions and identify opportunities to upsell or cross sell.
- Build influential relationships and trust with customers and vendors through open and interactive communication.
Be able to ask probing questions to understand customer needs overcome objections by recommending profitable solutions explain our valueadded services ask for the order and close the sale.
- Be able to build positive working relationships and inspire teamwork with coworkers.
Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to process orders.
- Be able to learn to operate warehouse materialhandling equipment.
Read write speak and understand English.
- Be able to add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
