This role is for a motivated individual with strong analytical technical background to join us as Senior BIE. You will be responsible for designing and supporting bestinclass business analytics solutions and help leadership make impactful business decisions. You will own the design development of analytics & science solutions to support key Topology Planning and Capacity Planning initiatives. You will continue to raise the bar for creating scalable efficient automated processes for largescale data analysis.
This position requires excellent statistical analytical abilities with deep knowledge of Business Intelligence Data Engineering practices and working knowledge of ScienceML/AI/LLM
Key job responsibilities
Partner extensively with Topology Planning and Capacity Engineering leaders and proactively identify analytical needs translate them to BIE/Science solution designs
Design develop test solutions to ensure data management processes visualization outputs are accurately representing the business insights
Develop best practice to reduce coding effort by reuse where applicable; replace complex data handling steps with innovative design and simpler tools/utilities
Work backwards from business KPIs used in operational decisions to design predictive sciencebased automation solutions
Use AWS S3 Redshift Athena Quicksight Tableau LLM to produce reliable solutions. Enable seamless integration between BIE solutions and Strategic Planning Excel models
Mentor BIEs on the team. Partner with Research Scientists and Data Scientists to identify innovation opportunities and scale solutions

Successful candidate is a selfstarter comfortable with highly ambiguous opportunities and capable of working in a fastpaced environment with strong attention to detail.
They collaborate directly with customers (Sr. Manager Principal Scientists and Principal PMTs) to translate business issues to technical opportunity statements/requirements with Design concepts.
They collaborate cross functionally inspiring peers and stakeholders to adopt highest quality solutions and simplify processes.

AMZL (Amazon Logistics) is the last mile leg of Amazon. We plan and design the Delivery Station Topology. AMZL network continues to grow multifold in North America and Emerging Market countries delivering better customer experience at speed to customers. This growth will help AMZL gain most of distribution network share in every country across the world. AMZL Strategic Planning Team is the key to set foundation for Amazon Logistics network expansion roadmap for 15 years horizon.
10 years of professional or military experience
5 years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multiTB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining
Masters degree in statistics data science or an equivalent quantitative field
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R Python Ruby etc.
10 years of SQL experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
