This salaried position reports directly to the Pastor and comes with a generous compensation package including a competitive salary paid time off insurance benefits and retirement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cultivate a unified liturgical culture within the pastorate; high caliber music where individuals and families can encounter Jesus Christ.
Develop a method for continuous evaluation of the liturgical culture in the pastorate.
Develop a sacramental and Mass schedule that allows for the flexibility of worship within the pastorate and greater availability of priests to serve our ministries well.
Coordinate liturgical environment in the Church and gathering space. Plan the care for sacred vessels vestments the maintenance of the sound system and pastorateowned musical instruments/equipment and the purchase and change of missals.
Works with the pastor to prepare and manage the annual worship budget in collaboration with the business manager.
Coordinate music for the pastorate worship experience; including funerals weddings sacramental celebrations weekend liturgies school masses and special music for seasons and feasts.
Works with the parish music coordinators (choir directors) to expand the variety of musical instruments style congregation hymns and choir anthems.
Oversee the parish music coordinators (choir directors) in scheduling choirs reviewing music and accompanists/cantors for liturgies and rehearsals;
Oversee the marriage and funeral coordinator.
Provide ongoing formation training and support for parish musicians hospitality leaders lectors altar servers and Eucharistic ministers.
Order stock and maintain all needed church and liturgical supplies.
Schedule volunteers for all parish/pastorate liturgies; including weekday masses and adoration.
Secure proper copyrights for all worship music and participation aids.
