ABOUT YOUR ROLE
You will play a critical role in enhancing the lives of individuals living with disabilities providing care tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities working to reach their goals and community engagement.
- Provide specialized care for clients with brain injuries neurological conditions and complex physical needs.
- Work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to deliver personcentered care.
- Thorough shift notes and following care plans.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- A positive reliable empathic approach to support people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
- Demonstrated proven experience working with complex disabilitiescare such as PEG/NGT feeding bowel care and catheter care
- Experience in the field of mental health and challenging behaviors
- Proven cando positive and willing attitude
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Minimum 3 years of experience in disability care.
- Experience working with complex care participants.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support Disability Aged Care or related fields.
- Flexibility to travel across East and Southeast Melbourne and work varied shifts.
