General Information:

James Madison University (JMU) is accepting applications on a continual basis for parttime Housekeeping Workers. FM Housekeeping offers flexible scheduling/hours with various shift options. Parttime staff can work up to 29 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform regular and special cleaning of assigned areas using manual tools and power equipment such as buffers vacuums and auto scrubbers.
Understand and practice all university safety procedures particularly as they relate to equipment operation and chemical use.
Participate in the universitys trash/recycling program.
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience performing a variety of cleaning tasks.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to clean materials containing bloodborne pathogens and ability to use strong chemicals to clean.
A positive attitude and a desire to work together to keep the facilities of the JMU campus welcoming and beautiful are essential.
Additional Considerations:
Ability to operate buffers scrubbers and waxers for cleaning.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
This is a parttime wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
