Job Description
Position Summary
The Contract Specialist is a part of the Modern Retail account administration team and responsible for drafting reviewing and keying all sales contracts required to complete a customer transaction for products and/or services. This position works collaboratively with the sales professional services product management information security and revenue recognition teams to ensure negotiated contractual terms accurately reflect the commercial transaction and comply with Companys contractual requirements and revenue recognition policies. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of developing strong working relationships have exceptional communication organizational and time management skills and be comfortable juggling multiple tasks while meeting swift and strict deadlines.
***This is a remote position so we are accepting qualified applicants in any location in the U.S.***
Position Responsibilities & Essential functions
- Drafts reviews and processes customer agreements and amendments in support of global direct business and partner related transactions including software licensing hosted and cloud offerings consulting/implementation services maintenance and managed services
- Facilitate crossfunctional decision making and a collaborative team approach among the sales business partners and revenue recognition teams to drive deal closure
- Negotiate complex contractual issues with internal associates and business partners
- Be a sales advocate and serve as the single point of contact for internal approvals
- Trusted advisor to the sales organization on pricing revenue recognition and business terms to drive deal closure
- Communicate contract negotiation status updates and process changes to all business partners
- Serve as an escalation point to business partners for quotetocash operations and ensure compliance with published sales and business approval policies
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree and/or 2 years contracting experience
- Strong negotiation skills; ability to reach collaborative businessfocused results
- Familiarity with software and SaaS revenue recognition principles
- Contract drafting interpretation and processing
- Interpreting contracts and understanding and communicating the legal and business ramifications of deviating from standard terms
- Selfstarter with a good work ethic and a positive getitdone attitude
- Highly analytical with sound factfinding research and decisionmaking skills
- Solid interpersonal skills must be able to build working relationships with individuals at all levels of the Company including field sales field sales operations and finance
- Ability to work independently meet concurrent deadlines and organize time and priorities
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES & Qualifications
- Salesforce experience
- Intermediate with MS Suite experience
- Previous pricing and price negotiation experience
- Automotive Industry experience a plus
Compensation: $20/hr $25/hr
