JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales the Catering Sales Executive is responsible for seeking out catering opportunities for the business. They actively upsell each opportunity to maximize revenue and work towards achieving both personal and team revenue goals.
The role ensures that business is properly handed over and processed in a timely manner to guarantee seamless service delivery.
Additionally the Catering Sales Executive is dedicated to fostering customer and guest loyalty by consistently delivering exceptional service throughout every interaction. They work to grow customer accounts and enhance company success.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales marketing guest services front desk or related professional area.
OR
2year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Understanding Opportunities & Driving Revenue
Identifies qualifies and pursues new catering business opportunities to meet both personal and propertywide revenue goals.
Focuses on securing new catering accounts with substantial sales potential.
Is ideal however something that can be learnt is demonstrating an understanding of the market including competitors strengths and weaknesses supply and demand and uses this knowledge to effectively sell against them.
Closes the most promising opportunities for the property considering market conditions and individual property needs.
Leverages negotiation skills and creative selling techniques to secure business and finalize contracts.
Providing Exceptional Customer Service
Adheres to the brands Customer Service Standards and the propertys Brand Standards.
Actively participates in the daily service practices of the brand.
Delivers exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and loyalty assisting customers before and during their events or programs.
Serves customers by understanding their needs and recommending services and features that best meet and exceed their expectations fostering lasting relationships and loyalty to the property and brand.
Understands the propertys primary target customer and their service expectations offering tailored business solutions before and during events to address any business challenges
Building Successful Relationships
Works collaboratively with offproperty sales channels (e.g. Event Booking Center Market Sales Strategic Accounts) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated complementary and not duplicative.
Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
Utilises intranet for resources and information.
Conducts site inspections.
Creates proposals and contracts
