Job Summary
Serves as the coordinator and point of contact of the Universitys federal workstudy and institutional work scholarship program. Works with students supervisors and Human Resources to ensure a successful employment experience. Develops & coordinates financial aid awareness workshops and outreach activities. Supports the communication efforts of the financial aid office with prospective and current students and families. Provides Counseling to students prospective students and their families regarding financial aid programs processes and procedures. Responsible for assigned alpha sections to support students through the financial aid review process including satisfactory academic progress review verification etc. Assists with office projects tasks and other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of office practices procedures and office equipment. Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written policy and procedures learn new practices and maintain a document processing cycle. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Experience with current office software (like Word Excel and Outlook) and internet applications. Experience providing administrative support in an office. Customer service experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a student information system and document management system (for example Banner and Xtender). Experience working in higher education. Experience working in financial aid human resources or student affairs. Experience with hiring processes. Demonstrated success of working in a high volume fastpaced office. Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
