- Guides and directs the members of management in the creation and communication of products and materials resulting from those services.
- Participates in the development and preparation of shortterm and longrange plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and growth objectives. Recommends their adoption to the Chairman and the Leadership team.
- Delegates portions of activities responsibilities and authorities as necessary and desirable to organization staff falling under their scope of authority. Insures that the responsibilities authorities and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
- Directs and personally participates in acquisition and growth activities including investigations evaluations and negotiations in accordance with objectives and plans.
- Recommends changes in organization as required by the development and growth of the business. Develops and maintains a sound plan of organization. Establishes policies to insure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession for those functions and/or business units falling under his/her responsibility.
- Develop an annual new business plan and present it for feedback and approval to the Chairman
- Working with the Leadership to establish a top 10 list of the most desired new clients and formulate a plan to contact them network with them begin a dialogue and secure projects or get in a pitch
- Working with the Leadership to help crystalize the agencys positioning and magnify its points of difference
- Create a library of marketing materials for different types of inquiries onepage overview full written creds deck creds deck for inperson presentations and other marketing pieces
- Work with Leadership to insure the agency positioning capabilities and work are presented in a compelling way
- Consult with internal PR team and external PR agency to insure the David&Goliath and agency news is being pitched
- Prepare RFI and RFPs for opportunities the agency wants to pursue
- Gather intelligence on new business opportunities we are pursuing including key decision makers in pitch competition and industry
- Conduct inperson meetings with all major search consultants at least once per year with quarterly updates to insure they are up to date on agency work and news. Build strong working relationships with them.
- Find ways to connect with and begin conversations with D&Gs top 10 new business targets
- Attend relevant industry conferences that offer the opportunity to connect with leading CMOs
- Submit weekly status report tracking progress on marketing/creds materials website prospecting RFPs pitches etc.
