Job Description

Technical Sales Representative

Our Client is seeking a Sales Representative to drive business growth in Kenya by strengthening relationships with existing customers and developing new business opportunities. The role involves expanding market reach increasing sales of new machines and aftersales solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships while providing tailored solutions using the company s product portfolio.
Drive growth in new machines and aftersales solutions including spare parts retrofits upgrades service agreements training solutions and operating supplies such as lubricants adhesives and cleaning agents.
Identify and engage with potential customers in the Kenyan market to expand business opportunities.
Document sales opportunities prepare quotations negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams including new machine aftersales and technical support departments to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
Keep customers updated on order status ensuring technical clarifications and timely deliveries.
Build strong networks with key stakeholders within the company s global and regional operations.
Facilitate effective communication between the company s operational teams in East Africa and global headquarters to address customer needs efficiently.
Handle client logistics administrative tasks and financial transactions.
Ensure that all orders are processed and completed as per customer agreements.
Participate in special projects by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Take ownership of receivable collections from customers.
Conduct regular customer visits deliver product presentations and attend relevant project meetings.


Requirements

Qualifications Experience and Skills
A university degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Process Engineering or Business Administration with a strong technical background.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar sales or business development role.
Strong customer relations and orientation skills.
Sales effectiveness with a good understanding of industrial equipment and bottling plant operations.
Project management abilities with a solid grasp of business administration and financial concepts.
Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
Strong problemsolving organizational and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
