We need a PM onsite to coordinate the Financial Management and financial resource documentation. The objective is to make sure Tallahassee is documenting all the money they are spending with vendors in a format required by FEMA. Below are the details:
Job Title: Project Manager FEMA Disaster Recovery Grant Manager
Client Name: Public Consulting Group
Duration: 3 Month contracttohire
Location: Tallahassee Florida or another area in FL.
Office location: Tallahassee Florida. Will visit the office once a month.

Overview: The City of Tallahassee is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee resource allocation team collaboration vendor selection project timelines and budget management and document management for Tallahassee disaster recovery financial assistance projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing FEMA projects and a deep understanding of FEMA financial processes. This role is critical in ensuring the effective and efficient recovery from disasters ensuring compliance with all FEMA regulations and optimizing the use of financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Allocation Documentation: Efficiently allocate human financial and material resources to ensure successful project completion and document activity.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead a multidisciplinary team fostering collaboration and communication among team members. Provide clear direction set goals and ensure accountability to achieve project milestones.
  • Vendor Selection: Identify evaluate and select vendors and contractors in compliance with FEMA guidelines. Negotiate contracts manage vendor relationships and ensure that vendors deliver on time and within budget.
  • Timeline Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Monitor progress identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Budget Management: Develop project budgets monitor expenditures and ensure that financial resources are used efficiently. Prepare and submit required financial reports to FEMA and other stakeholders.
  • FEMA Compliance: Work with a team to ensure all project activities comply with FEMA regulations and guidelines. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for audit purposes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all projectrelated communications. Provide regular updates to city officials FEMA representatives and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address issues promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Project Management Business Administration Public Administration or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with at least 3 years managing FEMA disaster recovery projects.
  • Knowledge: Indepth knowledge of FEMA disaster recovery programs processes and financial assistance guidelines.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Budget management and financial reporting expertise.
  • Other: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Must be willing to work flexible hours during disaster recovery operations.
