The Transportation Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the transportation division. This includes but is not limited to financial reporting budgeting forecasting cost analysis and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. Location: Fresno area Compensation: $130K$150K Benefits: Exceptional Benefits Schedule: MonFri 8am5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate financial reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets forecasts and cost analyses and provide recommendations for cost savings and profitability improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies procedures and regulations.
  • Manage and reconcile accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll functions.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and regulatory reports.
  • Collaborate with the transportation division and other departments to identify and resolve financial and operational issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information and support to senior management division managers and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor train and develop financial staff to ensure the departments ongoing success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management including experience in the transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP financial statements budgeting forecasting cost analysis and tax regulations.
  • Experience with financial systems and software including ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a team and drive results.
