Cost Planning Head

The Cost Planning Head will play a pivotal role in leading Filinvests quantity surveying and cost planning activities across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate projects. This leadership position is tasked with spearheading initiatives to establish Filinvest as the industry leader in cost efficiency through strategic cost management innovation and the development of a highperforming team. The successful candidate will possess a blend of strategic vision technical expertise and a collaborative mindset with a proven track record in driving cost optimization and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Cost Management: Develop and implement cost management strategies to enhance financial efficiency and ensure Filinvest projects are delivered within budget setting the company as a benchmark for cost effectiveness in the industry.
• Lead Quantity Surveying Activities: Oversee detailed project cost estimates budgeting tendering and contract administration ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Operational Excellence and Process Improvement: Continuously refine cost planning processes to improve efficiency leveraging innovative practices and technologies.
• Strategic Direction and Department Leadership: Craft and communicate a compelling vision for the cost planning function translating strategic goals into actionable plans that drive operational and team performance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with project managers contractors and clients to ensure cohesive and transparent cost management practices.
• Team Leadership and Development: Recruit mentor and lead the cost planning team promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. RICS CIQS) is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost management with significant leadership experience in commercial real estate development.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic cost efficiency plans.
• Advanced proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership communication and analytical skills.
