Senior Finance Analyst

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst who will primarily be responsible for the management of finance and administration For us. This role reports to the Finance Manager.

What does the job involve

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns including VAT PAYE corporate income tax and any other applicable taxes in accordance with Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks such as absolute ETIMS compliance.
• Proactively follow up on receivables. Scrutinize payment requests before sending for approvals.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements budgets and forecasts to support decisionmaking and strategic planning.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Represent finance department in Internal and external meetings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field from a recognized University.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant practical experience in Financial Management.
• Should have an Internationally recognized Accounting Qualification e.g. (Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
• Should have up to date knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• High level of Integrity drive initiative motivation commitment and professionalism
• Excellent verbal analytical and organisational skills. Pay attention to detail.
• Excellent ICT skills including a good knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team and independently
