Data Engineer

Your responsibilities entail:

• Acting as a trusted advisor steering our clients towards effective technical solutions for their datarelated issues.
• Articulating the what why and how of proposed solutions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Mastering the realm of big data while developing testing and overseeing distributed data processing pipelines.
• Extracting versatile data sets and sources to generate highquality reproducible datasets in a scalable and maintainable manner.
• Collaborating seamlessly with various data roles such as Architects Software Engineers and Data Scientists.
• Grasping the requirements of diverse producers and consumers for our data services ensuring alignment with their needs.
• Executing projects in an Agile manner iterating to deliver value from data early and consistently.
• Keeping yourself abreast of the latest technologies and concepts remaining open to continuous learning.
• Engaging collaboratively with colleagues and clients whether onsite at the Zuhlke office or remotely from home.

• Experience in designing constructing and managing data products that cater to the needs of data consumers.
• Familiarity with common approaches to data analysis machine learning and data visualization to deliver appropriate data for consumers.
• Proficiency in various data architecture methodologies (e.g. Data Lake Data Mesh Data Warehouse streaming batch processing).
• Handson experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of big data infrastructures and principles for handling large and/or diverse data volumes.
• Practical expertise in handling various types of structured and unstructured data (text tabular graph timeseries geospatial image etc.).
• Working knowledge of containerization and public/private Cloud environments.
• Understanding of information security and data governance principles.
• Strong data programming skills with proficiency in languages like Java or Python.
• Experience in delivering projects within deadlines with a focus on quality ideally in clientfacing scenarios.
