Description:
The backend team implements core Intelli earth Integrator (IEI) functionality to support customization and User Interface (UI) teams by creating modular and generic services and REST endpoints. Work with Technical Lead (TL) and Subject Matter Experts(SME) to design and implement new features in IEI. This team is primarily responsible for Java code and the PostgreSQL database.

Activities the team works on:
Maintain and add features to existing IEI backend services.
Design and implement new IEI backend services.
Maintain the IEI database schema.
Maintain and create documentation about IEI backend services and procedures.
Participate in and host TEMs with the functional team and stakeholders.
Participate in pullrequest based code review for own work and others.
Provide daily status on work in the form of scrum updates and/or comments in JIRA/Bitbucket.

Qualifications:
Experience with Java preferably Java 8 or newer.
Experience writing unit tests preferably JUnit and Mockito.
Experience with SQL preferably PostgreSQL.
Experience with Linux.
Experience with Java build tools preferably Maven.
Experience with GIT.
Experience with Java IDEs preferably NetBeans.
Experience with collaboration software like Bitbucket or Gitlab.
Must be able to collaboratively work in a pullrequest environment.
Experience with continuous integration (CI) software like Jenkins.
Experience in Java Enterprise development highly desired preferably JBoss/Wildfly.
Experience with RESTful services.
Experience with messagedriven beans.
Experience with CDI.
Experience with scripting languages like Bash/Groovy/Python.
Experience with debugging.
Experience using the NetBeans debugger.
Experience in C.
Experience with geospatial data and satellite imagery.
Experience with NITF/TIFF imagery.
Experience with GeoJSON.
Experience with OGC web services like WFS/WMS.
