Nursing Department Manager-NICU

Job Summary:

• You will manage a level III NICU at 49 NICU beds facility with an average census of 30 and approximately 141 NICU employees.
• This position is 1 of 3 Nurse Managers that oversee the NICU department each works a different shift with some overlap.
• The Nurse Manager will also cover the Pediatric Unit and PICU as needed.
• Work hours are primarily 11am 8pm.
• Yearly Salary Range: $148800 to $192500
• This position has direct reports: YES.
• Signon bonus: Yes 10%
• Is there additional variable compensation: Yes There is also the potential to earn up to a 15% bonus based off the annual salary. The amount is based primarily off the performance of the medical center.

Nonnegotiable requirements of this position:

• CA RN License.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• NRP.
• RNCNIC.
• BSN or MSN.
• 5 years of FT equivalent level III NICU RN experience must be current or very recent.
• 3 years of FT equivalent level III NICU Manager or Supervisor experience; Charge Nurse experience doesnt meet this requirement must be current or very recent.
• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department required including three years of management supervisory or leadership experience.
• Management experience in a union environment.
