Job Description.

Position overview / Statement of Work
The ideal candidate will act as a supportive onsite role to the PPD Platform Engineering team with primary
focus for performing highly technical SQL backend administration in two focus areas: In SQL systems
(including Application Database Network and Server) and SQL security (including CJIS/Cyber Security and
Access Control). They will be responsible for installing maintaining and administering databases and SQL
instances ensuring that they are secure consistent and operational. It is expected that all work will be
performed within a framework of industry standards best practices and strategic IT principles and policy
guidelines. As a public safety law enforcement environment this individual will be expected to take proactive
steps to manage database performance and optimization across SQL environments for uptime consistency
as well as develop comprehensive backup/restoration models for application databases. In addition the
individual will also be expected to adhere to change/problem and incident management processes.

Work activities:
  • Provide database administration services (e.g. script and instance creation modeling modification copying schemas tables views indexes stored procedures triggers and integrity constraints for moderate to complex issues and systems (e.g. production nonproduction and replication servers)
  • Document implement maintain and support deployment and monitoring of moderate to complex database systems Plan and conduct database system tests and implement corrective actions to ensure all database servers meet or exceed documented service levels
  • Configure and customize moderate to complex search features queries and solutions
  • Create manage modify and/or convert SQL reports extracts or ETLs
  • Participate in assigned application projects as a member but may function as a lead
  • Recommend document and communicate administration best practices for data integrity
  • Conduct periodic software audits of database products for compliance with standard policies and procedures.
  • Identify new initiatives and recommendations for database growth and integration
  • Monitor database performance metrics to implement tunning and improvements
  • Design implement and validate data backup archive and recovery workflows
  • Perform additional duties of a Database Administrator as required

Skills/experience of the assigned staff:
Required:
  • At least 5 years of experience in administration and management of database platforms and application backend infrastructure
  • Expertise in MS SQL Server platform and modules including SSRS/PBIRS Always on clusters Replication and Auditing
  • Working knowledge of Oracle platforms and products including Dataguard
  • Strong understanding of alternative SQL platforms and products including PostgreSQL Sybase
  • AzureDB and MariaDB Business Objects Power BI or similar
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
  • Firm grasp on IT network architecture and server operating systems (Windows Server and Linux)
  • Ability to carry out administrative and technical communication orally and in writing
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills of data concepts and models
  • Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL concepts and processes (Incident Management Change Management
  • Problem Management Release Management etc.)
  • Knowledge of Information Security Concepts: Identity and Access Management etc.
  • Ability to work independently and engage in selflearning
  • Understanding for programming concepts/languages is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of the zOS Mainframe concepts is a strong plus
  • Any certifications in database administration or data warehousing is a strong plus

Title: Project Testing Coordinator Location:200 Piedmont Avenue SE Suite 1604, West Tower, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-9010 Duration: 18 Months Client: State Accounting Office(SAO) / State Of Gerrgia Note: The primary duration will be performed remotely unless requested to come to the SAO office (downtown Atlanta) for onsite meetings. Job Description: The Project (Testing) Coordinator role is tasked with the overall responsibility for the test effort's success. The role involves the coordination and scheduling of testing activities, quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and escalation of issues that impede the test effort. This covers: Negotiating the ongoing purpose and deliverables of the test effort Ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources Assessing the progress and effectiveness of the test effort Advocating the appropriate level of quality by using risk-based testing approach Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process Primary Duties and Responsibilities Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project. Estimate and obtain management support for the time and resources required to perform the testing. Work with Project Managers and Workstream Leads to assign testing resources to specific business processes within workstreams. Ensure all test scenarios have been provided by Workstream leads. Coordinate and follow up on the development of test scripts Ensure data has been staged to support test scenarios and scripts Collaborate with workstream leads/resources to ensure testing steps are sequenced accurately Collaborate with workstream leads/resources to ensure test data is accurately identified and documents for each test script Ensure access to test environments and application security has been completed to facilitate successful testing activities Arrange the facilities, and any equipment requirement for the testing. Ensure that testing responsibilities are assigned to all testing team members and that all of them understand their testing work in the project Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization Check / Review the test script documents Keep track of the testing outcomes including but not limited to new requirements or changes in requirements. Escalate testing results that impact project requirements Testing Manager Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report Attend the regular project team meetings and discuss the weekly status with the team. Communication with the testing resources as needed. Track and prepare the report of testing activities including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc. Review various reports prepared by Testers Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones Skills and Competencies Strong organizational skills: Testing coordinators must be able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at once, including scheduling test dates, coordinating with other members of the testing team, and ensuring that all testing materials are prepared and ready to go. Excellent communication skills: Testing coordinators must be able to communicate effectively with other members of the testing team, as well as with other stakeholders. They must be able to explain testing procedures and policies clearly and concisely. Attention to detail: Testing coordinators must be able to pay close attention to detail when preparing testing materials. They must be able to ensure that all test items are accurate and that all testing procedures are followed correctly. Strong problem-solving skills: Testing coordinators must be able to identify problems or issues that arise during the testing process and develop effective solutions to address them. Familiarity with testing software and technology: Testing coordinators must be comfortable working with a variety of testing software and technology tools, including test administration software, data analysis tools, and online testing platforms. Primary Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of IT related experience. OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of IT related experience. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
