Backend Software Developer - Remote within the EU

Our Client a prominent player in the iGaming and Sports Affiliation industry is on the lookout for a dedicated and proficient Backend Software Engineer with a strong inclination towards data. The successful candidate will be pivotal in architecting constructing and optimizing their backend systems to enhance datadriven decisionmaking and contribute to their continuous endeavour of delivering superior value to their clients.

Tasks

• Develop deploy and maintain scalable and highavailability backend services and APIs.
• Build data ingestion pipelines utilising platforms such as GCP and/or Azure.
• Engage in all phases of software development lifecycle from design to development and testing ensuring superb quality deliverables.
• Establish and adhere to best practices in coding testing and maintenance of software.
• Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems.
• Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design.
• Conduct data modelling and optimization to support new and existing product features.
• Analyse and interpret complex datasets providing insights that can steer technical decisionmaking.
• Ensure data privacy and compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 35 years of experience in backend development with a focus on datacentric projects.
• Proficient in backend programming languages such as PHP Python or C#.
• Solid experience with database technologies including SQL NoSQL and caching solutions.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Excellent understanding of data analytics and visualization techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience is desirable.
