Financial Analyst Roles& Responsibilities • Analyze financial data andprovide forecasting support • Organize data intoaccessible reports and perform various types of analysis using keymetrics such as yearly growth, return on assets, return on equityand earnings per share • Review all nonlegal pertinentinformation about prospective deals • Oversee financialfunctions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes,consolidation, cost control and project control • Evaluateand analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals,investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operatingrecords, financial statements, etc. • Study acompany's financial data to give advice for guidingbusiness investments and overall financial strategy. Day-to-DayDuties • Analyze current and past financial data andperformance • Prepare reports and projections based onanalysis • Evaluate current capital expenditures anddepreciation • Explore investment opportunities •Establish and evaluate profit plans • Identify trends infinancial performance and provide recommendations for improvement• Coordinate with other members of the finance team toreview financial information and forecasts • Providefinancial models and forecasting Education Requirements •Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, orrelated field; CPA or CMA a plus. - - 10 years of experience in thefield or in a related field • Familiarity with financialprograms and software
