TBest Services is seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to fill the role of Teachers Assistant at our clients Montessori school. Embracing the foundational principles and educational approach of Maria Montessori the school is dedicated to fostering an environment that cultivates initiative independence responsibility curiosity cooperation and respect among its students. We are eager to find a candidate who can join our clients team immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in the overall supervision and management of the classroom ensuring a safe and dynamic learning environment for all students.
- Engage with children providing them with the guidance support and encouragement they need to explore and learn.
- Maintain and organize classroom materials ensuring they are readily available and in good condition and perform regular light cleaning tasks to keep the classroom environment fresh and inviting.
- Facilitate open and effective communication with parents maintaining a cooperative relationship between the school and the home.
- Work closely with the lead teacher principal and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for the children.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with preschoolaged children demonstrating the ability to care for and nurture children of various ages needs and abilities with love and respect.
- Completion of 90 hours of approved early childhood coursework including 45 hours focused on curriculum and 45 hours on child development.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR.
- A minimum of 9 clock hours of approved training in communication with parents staff and the public or equivalent college coursework.
- 3 clock hours of training in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work in person each day in Columbia MD.
Position Details:
- Job Type: Parttime Contract
- Salary: $18.00 $21.00 per hour commensurate with experience
- Expected Hours: 30 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
- School Type: Montessori Private School
- Grade Levels: PreKindergarten
- Work Location: In person
Application Requirements:
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 9 AM to 3 PM.
- Ability to relocate to Columbia MD 21044 before starting work (Required).
