Skills
Indepth knowledge of issuer processing payments payment standards scheme rules payment processing technologies and regulations.
Minimum 10 years of Payments experience in particular cardbased transaction processing
Experience with ISO 8583 and/or ISO20022
Working experience in using Jira and Confluence.
Interest in payments and innovation in the marketplace.
Entrepreneurial mindset
Expertise in creating scalable secure low latency and highly available systems across a rapidly evolving cloud based digital landscape.
Strong experience in microservices architecture.
Expertise in API design principles and RESTful API development.
A background in programming such as .NET Java Spring framework data engineering.
Strong experience in containerisation and orchestration technology like docker and Kubernetes.
Deep cloud platform experience around managed services with preference to AWS
Good understanding of data architecture and principles around data management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many multifunctional teams architects product owners and engineer
Supporting Strategic Programme Steering groups
Participating in architecture discussions and planning
Participating in multifunctional coordination planning and reviews with leads from other engineering teams
Maintaining and encouraging our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define and establish strategic objectives for the development team.
Develop roadmaps and longterm plans to ensure the teams alignment with the companys overall goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance team performance and efficiency.
Project Management:
Drive the successful execution of software development projects ensuring timely delivery and quality output based on the client road map.
Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements set project priorities and allocate resources effectively.
Monitor project progress track key milestones and manage potential risks and escalations.
Technical Leadership:
Stay uptodate with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices related to fintech and issuer processing.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex technical challenges and make informed decisions.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the development team.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with stakeholders including other department heads clients and partners to understand their needs and expectations.
Foster strong relationships with external parties staying informed about market trends and customer preferences.
Act as a representative of the development team ensuring effective communication and alignment with all stakeholders.
Team Development:
Identify skill gaps within the team and facilitate the acquisition of necessary skills through training mentoring
