On behalf of one of its clients, The French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Senior Analyst.
1. Project and portfolio related:
- Assisting in the monitoring of client s portfolio of current vineyard projects from a financial, legal, tax, and accounting perspective: preparing cash flow and financial forecasts, reviewing financial accounts (French and Asian entities), supervising wine bottle shipments and stock movements, being involved in all legal and tax aspects (e.g., transfer pricing studies);
- Drafting documents and reports (in formal English) in connection with each project (e.g., bi-annual reports, regular correspondence with investing partners);
- Drafting and editing of marketing materials (e.g., memoranda, presentations);
- Participating in the development and the management of distribution joint-venture companies with wine estate partners.
2. Interactions with external parties:
- With legal, financial, tax, and corporate advisors, both in Asia and Europe: coordinating various matters, organizing and attending meetings and teleconference calls, preparing briefing, minutes and follow-up documents;
- With participating Members : attending meetings and drafting correspondence and documents;
- With representatives and staff of client s winery partners in relation to wine production and operational aspects (principally in written French).
3. More generally:
- Maintaining clients databases, including those for market analysis, pipeline of transactions, client files, internal files, etc.;
- Preparing marketing documents and materials for new projects and opportunities;
- Other tasks and duties as required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Be educated to a graduate or post-graduate level with degrees obtained from leading and internationally recognised universities;
- Possess a minimum of two to three years of professional experience in the front office of a financial services company, a consultancy firm, an accountancy firm, a law firm, or the M&A / strategy department of a large, multinational corporation in the luxury industry;
- Soft skills: be self-starting, pro-active, independent, have a strong sense of analysis and team spirit, and be a hard and diligent worker with high ethical standards;
- Hard skills: have experience and interest in financial modelling, be intellectually agile to evolve in a position requiring financial, accounting, tax, and legal knowledge;
- Have a strong interest / passion for wine (deep knowledge is not a prerequisite);
- Be fluent in French (native) and English, both verbal and written;
- Be available to work outside regular office hours given the requirements of time difference management between Europe and Asia and the unpredictability of a transaction-based business model;
- Demonstrate an ability to interact and deal with so-called ultra-high net worth individuals across cultures and countries;
- Master the use of Microsoft Office tools, in particular have advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel;
- Be available to start no later than July 3rd, 2023.
