- Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems
- Build prototype models based on technical guidelines
- Sourcing or fabricating replacement parts for electronic systems
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Repair malfunctions in circuitry and other system structures
- Performing equipment demonstrations and drawing up training manuals wherever required
- Use various tools to build and repair systems (e.g. grinders)
Requirements
- Degree or completed coursework in engineering or electronics
- Previous experience as electronic technician or similar role
- A Relevant certificate or license may be required
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
- Familiarity working with various tools and equipment
- Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations
