Graduate Civil Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team in Borehamwood and Iver.

Our twoyear development program has been designed to provide a diverse range of work experience and supported onthejob learning alongside your mentor coach and line manager. Flexibility in the individual will be key to gaining experience from across the national business locations and departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting with site investigations and overall implementation of projects.
• Ensuring systems design information procedures and quality systems are adhered to.
• Assessing the potential risks of specific projects.
• Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects subcontractors contracting engineers consultants coworkers and clients.
• Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development issues.
• Quality assurance ensuring the customer requirements are clearly understood and that quality control mechanisms are in place that provide assurance that the asset and/or service delivers as designed/required.
• Support the project delivery team providing technical support.
• Contribute to the accurate and efficient provision of daily site records and productivity reports weekly and monthly to the scheme manager.
• Understand and utilise the appropriate digital tools to support the project.
  
  

Skills and Experience:

• You will either graduate in 2024 or have just completed a suitable masters or bachelors in civil or structural engineering degree with a minimum grade of 2:2.
• You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to apply your technical expertise to projects.
• Good problemsolving skills the ability to anticipate potential problems and overcome them effectively.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Competent with Microsoft Office based software AutoCAD and a working knowledge with other specialised calculating and simulation software.
• Report writing skills.
• Hold a valid driving license.
