Job Mission

Tibber is overturning the energy landscape and has built the largest residential Virtual Power Plant in Europe made out of hundreds of thousands of EVs heating devices and soon home batteries. Tibbers mission is to use this VPP to accelerate the shift towards a zerocarbon future while empowering our users to play a central role in that transition. Tibber was the first in Europe to deliver frequency control reserve at a commercial scale with an aggregated pool of electric vehicles and has been a pioneer in residential flexibility.

The Trading team is responsible for shortterm power and flexibility trading of the Tibber portfolio. This includes developing and implementing algorithmic trading solutions that automatically balance our portfolio trade and steer asset flexibility in realtime and run proprietary trading activities. Additionally the team is responsible for developing and managing demand and price forecasts in order to commercially optimize Tibbers portfolio in the relevant energy markets. We are now looking for an experienced Flexibility Expert. Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Driving prequalification processes: In order for Tibber to execute our VPP strategy we need to enter vastly more energy and flexibility markets. Prequalification processes are the testing and approval processes that an actor must undertake to gain market access.

• Project manage the processes
• Contribute deeply to the execution and iteration of testing
• Compile reports and application documents
• Liaise with stakeholders

External Stakeholder Management. Own the relationship with market stakeholders (TSOs DSO) to overcome technical and legal challenges in order to provide ancillary services.

Internal Stakeholder Management. Be the counterpart for the VPP and trading domain knowledge in the commercial teams. Drive the flex dialogues of the partnership discussions with all the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) such as Tesla Porsche Easee Sonnen etc.

Own Tibbers global public relations and lobbying strategy. You will be present at industry working group forums and participate in conferences.

Build Tibbers energy/ ancillary market entry strategy. Building a route to market strategy and defining the order of flexibility markets we enter.

Ideal Profile

Relevant industry experience which is a must:

• 3 years experience in the power industry.

You must have deep expert and technical knowledge of the European ancillary service and power markets. Including knowledge of the technical requirements and prequalification processes.

You have strong project management skills and the ability to drive forward work streams.

You are a fantastic communicator and have strong stakeholder management skills.

A huge bonus if you bring:

• Python programming experience means you are able to play a handson role in iterating on the technical solution together with engineers.

Team player. You believe that a team is stronger and more performant than an individual youre not interested in working in silos.

Relationship and bridge builder. You should be a good educator and ambassador. Passionate for Tibbers mission and driven by purpose. You will be an ambassador of Tibber on everything that involves Trading and VPP activities.

Commercially minded. An analytical curious and commercial mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
