A well-known healthcare organization is seeking to hire an AP Specialist. In this seat, you will be responsible for full-cycle AP processing and high volume invoicing and vendor management. This role will only be onsite twice a month, but will otherwise be remote. Looking for a candidate has larger company AP experience and has used a software similar to PeopleSoft/Apex. This organization is moving over to Workday, so any related ERP experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Code and process vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving document, ensuring accuracy and approval
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
  • Ensure proper W9 documentation is received prior to vendor payment
  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
  • Participate in month end close activities
  • Perform special project and assigned reports as directed
  • Meet deadlines and handle multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Utilize Apex software


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant AP and accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of the general ledger and chart of accounts
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP accounting system a plus
  • Apex/PeopleSoft/Workday experience

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience required Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience using formulas/pivot tables, etc. Experience with NetSuite is a plus, requires experience with accounting software Strong ability in managing priorities Strong customer service skills Knowledge of three way matching of purchase orders, packing slips and invoices Ability to perform in a high-growth, fast-paced, collaborative work environment Ideal candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment and keen attention to details
