- Responsible for surgical and medical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat, as well as the related head and neck areas.
- Specialized skills of otolaryngologists include managing disorders of the upper pharynx and oral cavity, larynx (voice box), ears, nose & nasal passage etc.
- Should handle regularly handle cases like nosebleeds, adenoidectomies, infected mastoids, tonsillectomies, and sinusitis.
- Diagnoses and treats variety of diseases and injuries in ENT practice: Examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition.
- Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
