JOB TITLE: SCIENTIFIC DATA ANALYST

Responsible for: To Analyze large amounts of information to find patterns that will help improve the Product and Functions within the company. The team will rely on this role to build data products to extract valuable business insights.

Job Purpose: In this role, the Data Scientist should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We want to be immersed in the machine-learning process and research. The position goal will be to help our company analyze trends to make better decisions.

Key Responsibilities and Critical Success Measures:

Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes

Undertake to preprocess of structured and unstructured data

Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

Perform statistical analysis on large datasets, communicate key findings, and guide algorithm changes based on results

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable, and well-tested code

Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms

Present information using data visualization techniques

Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Knowledge:

Degree in relevant computer science, programming, or scientific field, or equivalent experience.

3-5+ years experience with data analytics, machine learning, predictive modeling, or related field

Document requirements, designs and detailed technical specifications, training materials, operating instructions, and test plans to support the development of predictive reasonable solutions.

Experience in data mining

Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills

Special Skills:

Expert in MS Visio or similar diagramming tools

Experience with the Agile/Scrum framework is a plus.

Proficient in MS Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook

Strong business acumen and technical acumen

Strong sense of customer service is required

Strong writing and documentation skills.

Strong verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to understand the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
