The Global Transportation Safety Compliance Manager can be located at any Lubrizol facility location.***

Under the general direction of corporate HSE, Sustainability strategies and Responsible Care® Principles, the incumbent is responsible for defining Lubrizol’s Global Supply Chain gate-to-gate safety strategy and transportation compliance in association with the management processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives to raise the standards within HSE.

[Operation Safety]

  • Establish and benchmark the global distribution emergency processes and constantly review with regional personnel to ensure validity.
  • Develop the HSE requirements for all logistics operational modes (Warehouse, Road transportation, Airfreight, ISO tank and Bulk Marine) and embed these into daily logistics SOP’s through collaborating with the global logistics operations team.
  • Liaise with the SAP team to ensure applicable transportation regulations are embedded within SAP.
  • Develop process to report, record and analyze logistics related HSE incidents. Lead the organization to adopt and implement applicable Root Cause Investigation (RCI) tools and drive the effort to continuously improve the transportation safety performance.
  • Define both leading and lagging indicators to monitor Supply Chain HSE performance

[Packaging & Label]

  • Define safety requirement and standard for Lubrizol purchased packages, such as drums, IBCs, boxes, and bags etc.
  • Define appropriate shipping labels (e.g., GHS label) required in accordance with international and local regulations.

[Training & Support]

  • Promote the safety culture in Global Supply Chain team, especially logistics and contracted Lubrizol logistics service providers. Create training programs / materials to promote awareness and improve the organization capability.
  • Develop and own the pre-Qualification Audit protocols for 3rd Party Logistics Services Providers for warehouses, road carriers and terminal operators. Identify, train and develop qualified auditors from the Operation talent pool.

[External]

  • Monitor changes and interpretations of all new and existing regulations as well as industry standards in all regions to be able to adopt best practices.
  • Where appropriate, represent and advocate Lubrizol in Chemical industrial committees and associations.

[People Management]

  • Lead a global transportation safety & compliance team located in different regions (NA, EU, APAC and LATAM), roles include Global Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and regional Transportation Safety & Compliance managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Transportation Safety & Compliance related areas, among which minimum3 years of leading a function or a team.
  • Familiar with main transportation regulations IMDG, IATA, MARPOL.
  • A certified HSE auditor.
  • A good understanding of supply chain logistics operation model.
  • Result oriented, drive success.
  • Strategic in thinking, practical in approach.
  • A team player with global mindset
