Bookkeeper

MODERN CITY HOMES LTD. Located at 7754 147 Street, Surrey, BC, V3S 5M4 is currently looking for 01 BOOKKEEPER to join their team as soon as possible.

Full-Time, Permanent position @$28.00/ hour for 40 hour per week with 4% vacation pay as BCs Employment Standards. English is a required language. 1 to 2 years of experience and completion of high school is required.

Job Duties:
Establish, keep and maintain financial records and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
Post journal entries.
Perform reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable and tax returns.
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
Prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and for utility, tax and other bills.
Complete and submit tax remittance forms.
Perform account receivable functions including invoices, deposits, collection and revenue recognition.
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
