About The Role
The services required include the provision of in-depth specialised advice and to apply consistent standards of development within the environment, and to identify relevant system enhancements/improvements and/or additional system components that meet agreed business requirements. Work requirements will also include provision and maintenance of technical documentation and advice in regards to the impacts of implementing system enhancements/improvements in line with NTG standards and policies.
Requirements
The candidate should have high analytical and problem-solving skills with high standards of accuracy and attention to details. They should have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision. They should have demonstrated experience in working and performing in situations where there are tight deadlines, and have the ability to be flexible with work assignments in a constantly changing environment and on multiple consecutive projects.
The developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automation workflows in Atlassian JIRA and other Atlassian products. They should be able to maintain and conduct upgrade and enhancements to JIRA, confluence and integration with other tools or plugins. They should be able to identify relevant system enhancements/improvements and/or additional system components that meet agreed business requirements including the creation of JIRA projects, researching business appropriate plugins and reports. They should be able to provide technical support and maintenance for the Atlassian environment, including Jira and Confluence regarding problem resolution, upgrades and enhancement, develop and implement mid-range database and application changes as required.
The candidate should have a good understanding of Service and Identity Management systems such as Radiant Logic, RadiantOne Federated Identity Management product or equivalent Identity Management Systems. They must have a high level of experience in using Red Hat Linux, VMWare, LDAP, Windows Active Directory, JSP, Web Services, XML/SPML and source code control system such as GIT. They should have a good understanding of the Architecture/Design of system integrations via API/SDK.
Desired skills and experience:
Experience in PowerShell or Windows Command line experience, .Net Core C#, Groovy is desirable.
Experience in Docker and exposure to windows server mgt.is an asset.
Experience in CI/CD and MSSQL query development is also an asset.
