Flexo Operators/Lead Operator ( Bonus/Relocation Help)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sets up 5, 8, and 10 color web presses, make-ready and run 1 color to 10 color PMS, four color process jobs and specialty jobs, while maintaining clean and registered print quality.

Documents all job history on proper forms using and ERP System.

Mix, match and tone inks.

Trouble shoot web presses.

Properly handle and make-ready rotary dies and other press elements such as sheeter / perf dies, lineal scorers, line-hole dies, Cameron blades, stacker units, etc.

Accurately record roll-to-roll counts.

Complete daily time sheets and job data entry in PSI data entry system

Organize and identify need for re-order of press supplies.

Communicate with Department Supervisors regarding planning issues or difficulties to ensure proper documentation toward continuous improvement activities.

Perform other duties as requested

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally

Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and standing.

Manual dexterity for repetitive work

Ability to visually inspect work for defects.

The ability to decipher color and tone differences visually and ability to use a spectrophotometer.

Skills and Knowledge:

3+ years previous Flexo Press Operator experience preferred

High school education or equivalent.

Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.

Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions.

Ability to work on complex jobs in a fast paced, quality focused environment.

Ability to use problem-solving skills in producing jobs effectively.

Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.

Knowledge of pressure sensitive, unsupported film, tag stocks and paper types.

Knowledge and ability to maintain UV, Water, solvent based inks, and coatings.
