Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Manager HR to support the human resources function within a dynamic and fast-growing Kids Wear manufacturing unit based in Howrah Kolkata. This role is critical in ensuring seamless HR operations across a labour-intensive production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit while ensuring strict adherence to statutory compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture. With a strong focus on operational efficiency employee engagement and process optimization the Deputy Manager HR will play a pivotal role in driving organizational growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition and recruitment processes including sourcing screening interviewing and onboarding.
  • Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate attendance records in alignment with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations including PF ESIC Gratuity and applicable labour laws.
  • Oversee HR operations including employee records management documentation and HRIS maintenance.
  • Handle employee grievances and mediate conflicts with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Implement and update HR policies procedures and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate closely with factory HR teams finance and external vendors to ensure smooth HR service delivery.
  • Promote employee engagement discipline and retention in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and scalability.


Requirements

  • 45 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations or HR Generalist roles.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing textile garments or other labour-intensive industries.
  • Bachelors degree in any discipline (mandatory).
  • MBA HR or PGDM in HR (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance and factory HR practices.
  • Strong execution coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with HR documentation and data management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
