Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Project Management and Engineering Team in Germany to support the development of new products by sourcing semi-finished products and electronic components with the right quality and price.
- Liaison with existing and new suppliers in Mainland China and other Asian countries on a daily basis.
- Identify suitable suppliers for the company.
- Work on cost optimization and negotiate prices with suppliers.
- Manage new and existing suppliers including company introduction payment terms negotiation and negotiation of other terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and make improvement recommendations.
- Monitor the product development from the quotations sampling approval through to the mass production until the goods leave the factory.
- Execute Cost-Down-Projects for existing products on BOM-Level.
- Regular price benchmarking for the key-components used in the companys products.
- Organize and work on buying trips with the Project Management Team from Germany.
- Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant discipline
- Over 5 years experience in a sourcing or manufacturing environment
- Experience within the Electronics industry / Lighting industry preferred.
- Proactiveself-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to travel frequently.
- Good command of both written and spoken English Chinese and Mandarin.
- Less experienced candidates will be considered as Sourcing Specialist.
