Procurement Manager

Role description:
To act as a team lead role supporting centralised procurement activities within major construction projects. The role will involve coordinating procurement processes across multiple stakeholders with a focus on material sourcing supplier coordination and delivery management. The position requires strong practical experience in contractor-side procurement operations particularly in bulk construction materials.
Role accountabilities:
- Lead and coordinate procurement activities to support project delivery requirements
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing evaluation and order facilitation
- Work closely with contractors suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement outcomes
- Facilitate procurement coordination for high-volume/bulk materials including logistics and delivery arrangements
- Identify evaluate and manage supplier performance maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Support tendering and competitive procurement processes where required
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal procedures and project requirements
- Provide procurement insights and support reporting planning and process improvement initiatives
Guide and support junior team members where applicable (team lead responsibilities)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Procurement Supply Chain Quantity Surveying Construction Management Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 810 years of procurement experience within the Hong Kong construction industry
- Strong experience working with main contractors
- Proven experience in procurement of construction materials preferably steel reinforcement or other bulk materials
- Experience handling large-scale or high-volume procurement coordination
- Solid understanding of contractor-side procurement practices and market dynamics
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Ability to manage complex procurement coordination across multiple stakeholders
- Good understanding of procurement processes tendering and contract administration
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
