If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals Armour is presently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our growing team from our downtown Halifax to the Payroll Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for processing and maintaining the complete payroll cycle as well as administering all aspects of employee benefits as defined under the groups benefit the Payroll Coordinator you will:Establish maintain and update payroll information for new and existing employees by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions insurance coverage savings deductions and job titles and department/ division with accounting and human resources to ensure accuracy of multiple payrolls using Ceridian Dayforce software including hourly and salaried a client-focused service provider by resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions in a timely and enrolling into employee/employer benefits plans including health dental insurance and RRSP contributions according to employment contracts and company ROEs as required and assisting with T4s at year end using Ceridian and reconcile benefit invoices monthlyPosting the GL reports from Dayforce to accounting duties as assigned by Payroll ManagerWhat were looking for:A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar type of organizational skills and attention to detail a of Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll skills in Microsoft Office products specifically excel and communication and relationship building skills.A commitment to organizational and time management skills with a focus on achieving experience in the following industries is considered an asset: hospitality construction leasing property certification would be considered and in it for youComprehensive Health and Dental BenefitsEmployer RRSP programPaid vacation daysPaid sick daysEmployee Assistance ProgramContinuing education supportDiscounts at selected Queens Marque restaurantsAccess to on-site fitness facilitiesOpportunity for internal career growthWorking along side a collaborative team of likeminded individualsThe Armour Group Limited is a family business valuing a commitment to excellence high performance accountability integrity and teamwork.
