The Opportunity

Payroll is at the heart of the employee experience and were looking for a Team Lead Payroll to help lead our payroll operations with accuracy compliance and exceptional this role youll provide leadership to a team of Payroll Administrators oversee payroll processing across multiple operating companies and partner with stakeholders across HR Finance Benefits Pension HRIS and Operations. Youll also play a key role in driving process improvements supporting system enhancements and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

What Youll Do

• Lead and coordinate payroll processing activities across multiple companies
• Provide coaching guidance and support to Payroll Administrators
• Manage complex payroll issues exceptions and retroactive calculations
• Review payroll reconciliations and ensure legislative compliance
• Support year-end payroll activities reporting and audits
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes controls and efficiencies
• Support Workday enhancements payroll projects and testing activities

What Youll Bring

• PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation
• 5-7 years of progressive payroll experience
• 1-3 years of leadership supervisory or team lead experience
• Experience processing complex payrolls in a multi-company environment
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation compliance reconciliations and audits
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication customer service analytical and problem-solving abilities

Assets

• PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional) designation
• Experience with Workday and payroll system integrations
• Knowledge of collective agreements and multi-provincial payroll
• Continuous improvement project or process optimization experience
• French language skills

Pay Range:

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/ addition to Base Pay eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs.
