The Opportunity

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for our Scarborough location on a 6-month contract. As the department continues to grow this role offers potential for future progression. Reporting to the Sr. Procurement Manager the Purchasing Coordinator will support site buyers across multiple Atlantic locations.

What Youll Do

• Works closely with Buyers during every phase ofpurchasingprocess
• Prepares requisitions for required needs of the specific business
• Generate purchase orders to replenish approved products ensuring maximum cost effectiveness and excellent customer fill rates
• Maintain vendor files as they relate to cost quantityqualityand specifications
• Support management of the quality and on time delivery expectations
• Work closely with company locations for product requirements and inventory control
• Investigate and follow up on any invoicing issues and/or shipping delays
• Ensures the execution of corrective action under his/her responsibilities
• Support company to best practices in purchasing
• Support for all Purchasing Actions (Reporting and validation)

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• 1 yearspurchasingexperience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of business practice relating to the purchase price terms shipment taxes and payment for commodities and services
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
• Ability to work cooperatively with internal customers vendors and management
• Computerproficiencyand good working knowledge of MS Office
• Must be able to multitask and work with tight timelines

Hiring Range : $52319 - $65399 per year. A candidates experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
