Project Engineer (Building and Infrastructure)

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including;

• Albury Wodonga Military Area (AWMA)
• RAAF Base Wagga (RBW)
• Blamey Barracks Kapooka (BBK)

The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:

• Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
• Construction of new training and mess facilities
• Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
• Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Reporting to the Project Manager you will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of site works. Responsibilities may include monitoring progress against program resolving engineering and technical challenges coordinating subcontractors and supporting cost quality and schedule outcomes. You will also play an important role in promoting and upholding a strong Zero Harm safety culture.

• Review and interpret construction drawings specifications and methodologies
• Plan and coordinate daily works with supervisors and Subcontractors to achieve agreed outcomes
• Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards quality requirements and technical specifications
• Monitor and manage allocated work packages including resources cost and productivity
• Maintain accurate records documentation and reporting
• Support cost management and contribute to achieving project targets

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering
• With at least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
• Strong background across a diverse portfolio of building projects including residential commercial hospitals living accommodations student housing and educational facilities complemented by exposure to key infrastructure works such as roads bridges utilities and general civil works.
• Preferably someone who has experience with Project delivery fitouts facades piling precast roofing and commissioning
• Highquality written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrates strong leadership qualities with the capability to effectively manage mentor and guide a team of engineers.
• Skilled in delegating tasks setting clear expectations and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required with eligibility to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
