Working as part of the Building Services team you will play akey role in delivering statutory building services and ensuringcompliance with relevant legislation. The position is responsiblefor assessing and processing a range of applications under theBuilding Act 2011 issuing statutory certificates undertakingcompliance inspections conducting R-Code assessments andinvestigating unauthorised or unsafe structures. Working across adiverse portfolio including residential developments and caravanparks you will help maintain building standards support communitysafety and contribute to positive development outcomes.

This role is suited to an experienced Building Surveyor withstrong knowledge of relevant legislation building constructionpractices and the Residential Design Codes of Western will bring excellent communication negotiation anddecision-making skills combined with a well-organised approach andthe ability to provide sound consistent assessments and adviceacross a range of building matters. To be successful you must holda current WA C Class Drivers Licence and a recognised buildingindustry qualification appropriate under the Building Services(Registration) Act 2011 (WA) Building Services(Registration) Regulations 2011 (WA) or equivalent.
