Job Summary

Location: Sydney NSW Australia
Experience: 8 Years

We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA with strong expertise in SQL Server migrations database administration and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating SQL Server environments and ensuring seamless cutover with minimal downtime.

Key Skills & Experience:

8 years of IT experience with 5 years in SQL Server (/2026)
Strong expertise in SQL Server migrations and upgrades
Hands-on experience with SSMA SQL Server Profiler and SSMS
Database performance tuning and optimization
SQL Clustering Always On Availability Groups HA/DR solutions
Troubleshooting connectivity permissions and performance issues
Experience with SQL Server Services (SSRS SSAS SSIS)
Strong knowledge of Logins Jobs Linked Servers DB Mail and Database Objects

Key Responsibilities:

Assess source environments and plan migration activities
Analyze database integrations upstream/downstream data flows and dependencies
Review encryption and certificates to support seamless migrations
Execute migration cutovers with minimal business disruption
Perform post-migration validation integrity checks and performance benchmarking
Optimize queries indexes and server configurations
Implement and support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions

Preferred:

Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
Experience with enterprise-scale migration projects
