Job Summary

An Exciting Leadership Opportunity Wodonga Depot Manager

With our continued growth in New South Wales and the successful award of the NSW TrainLink contracts were reshaping how we support and lead our depots to set them up for long-term success.

As part of this were focusing dedicated leadership on our growing Wangaratta operation and NSW TrainLink contracts. This allows greater focus on the expansion and rollout of the new runs being managed from Wangaratta along with the ongoing leadership and support of the team there as the operation continues to grow.

While the NSW TrainLink contracts will be overseen from Wangaratta they will continue to sit within the broader Wodonga operation making close collaboration between both depots an important part of the role. The successful applicant will work closely with the Wangaratta leadership team and other regional Depot Managers to ensure consistency strong communication and a connected approach across the network.


This creates an opportunity for a new Depot Manager to step into Wodonga at an exciting time for both the depot and the broader business.

As a key depot in the business this is an opportunity to step in take ownership and help shape the culture performance and direction of the site moving forward. Were looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on leading from the front and building a strong accountable team.

This role sits within a network of seven depots across Victoria and Southern NSW so youll also be part of a broader leadership group focused on consistency safety and performance across the business.


What the role looks like

  • Being a visible approachable leader on the ground and setting the tone for the team
  • Running the day-to-day depot operations and keeping services safe reliable and on time
  • Leading drivers and support staff with clear expectations and fair accountability
  • Building a strong safety culture where people feel responsible supported and confident to do the right thing
  • Overseeing rostering payroll accuracy and operational administration
  • Ensuring alignment between operations and workshop to maintain fleet readiness
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders customers and the local community
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve performance efficiency and capability across the depot

  • Proven leadership experience in a transport logistics or operational environment
  • A practical hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the front
  • Strong people leadership capability with the ability to set standards and build trust
  • Experience managing performance developing capability and driving accountability
  • A strong commitment to safety and operational discipline
  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive ownership driven approach with the ability to follow though
