Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced and skilled person for the position of Senior Manager Payment Relations.
To ensure that strategic objectives related to payers and relevant stakeholders are met through effective negotiations strategic relationship management and business development to grow the business and strengthen the position in the market with the defined geographical scope.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of payer relations (contracting pricing models networks market differentiation in line with overall strategy) target insurance market to sustain business engagement with regulators
2. Effectively negotiate commercial terms with payers
3. Pricing governance and related management of updates to mitigate the direct financial impact on the business
ICT team guided in updating systems with agreed terms
Guidance to RCM and Operations
Govern and ensure updates implemented accurately
Manage through communication updates on insurance systems
4. Establish and maintain mutually beneficial strategic business relationships
5. Identify and manage risks associated with payer contracts
6. Provide support in the conceptualisation and overall strategic direction of current business in terms of payer management and related tariffs volumes and profitability
7. Identify analyse compile statistics and proactively manage complex markets industry and payer
evolutionary trends (including competitor threats)
8. Identify strategic partners/payers to proactively influence benefit design volume growth and network development to the benefit of business units
9. Negotiate establish and manage payer agreements
10. Assist with tariff structures and Alternative Reimbursement Models to ensure effective application within the business.
Provide support with the customization of reports including quality outcomes patient satisfaction and financial reports (specified and presented to influence clients)
Requirements
Requirements
- 5 10 years relevant experience in healthcare or the healthcare insurance industry in the GCC.
- Degree in medical science finance or accounting from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of the KSA or GCC Healthcare industry including relevant regulatory requirements related to insurance
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Finance acumen and business awareness.
- Knowledge of the payer environment including relevant policies and processes applicable to the industry
- Knowledge of tariff structures and alternative reimbursement models
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Arabic will be an advantage)
