TEMPORARY Quality Inspector

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of production parts using manual measurement tools such as calipers micrometers height gages and other basic inspection equipment.
• Read understand and interpret engineering drawings specifications and basic GD&T requirements.
• Accurately record and enter inspection results into quality systems spreadsheets or databases.
• Review and enter test data generated from automated inspection or test equipment.
• Verify parts meet drawing and specification requirements and clearly document any nonconformances.
• Follow established inspection procedures work instructions and quality standards.
• Maintain organized inspection records to support traceability and audits.
• Work independently on second shift while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations.
• Communicate inspection issues or concerns clearly to quality or manufacturing leadership

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma
• Experience performing quality inspection or dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and part specifications.
• Proficiency with manual measuring tools (calipers micrometers depth gages etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Ability to work second shift hours reliably.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with GD&T concepts.
• General awareness of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) including understanding what they are used for (programming not required).
• Previous experience entering or reviewing data from automated inspection or test systems.
